Yah wow it snowed a lot!
NYC has been hit really hard by the snowstorm in the Northeast. For instance, numerous airport delays and school closings are being reported. I, like many of you, had plans today as well and now they are shot thanks to this storm.
CBS has more info on the NYC delays here
I’m going to sleep in a little more and possibly just stay inside all day. Enjoy your day whatever you end up doing with it.
Please watch your local TV stations for tornado warnings
Tragically, about 50 people have been killed by tornadoes that ripped through the South last night. We hope that everyone is safe and is getting the aid they need.
Remember, SimpleWeather should not be used if a Tornado is looming near your house. Local television stations are your best option for keeping safe during extremely severe weather!
Weather Alert: Nor’easter hitting NYC, Northeast
Our forecast for the next 24 hours shows that a developing system will dump plenty of snowfall all over the Northeast. Expect up to a foot of snowfall in Boston with 3-to-7 inches in New York City. Please keep updated with your local news channels and SimpleWeather. You can easily check weather forecasts anytime on your mobile phone by visiting SimpW.com.
Kids should feel free to sleep in and drink hot chocolate tomorrow while they have school off.
California hit by severe storm

If you’re visiting California or live there, please keep current with your weather reports as winds are reaching over 100 MPH in some areas and extreme precipitation is drenching valley and mountain areas. Sounds like a good weekend to stay in.
Weather Records in 2007

One of my favorite news sites, BreitBart.com, has rounded up weather events that broke the records books in 2007. Did you know that January was hot as hell and that it snowed in South Africa? Bet’cha didn’t! Visit this link to see what 2007 offered us in weather. Have an enjoyable New Year’s Eve everyone!
