Tonight our data feed was shut off. We can no longer afford to operate. We will open a Paypal donation fund next week to keep us going. I want you all to know that to the three of us, Ray, Joe and I, Simpleweather.com was more than a website. It was change. It was the new look of weather on the Internet. We kept it as low-ad as possible and unfortunately owe our data provider, CustomWeather, too much money. If you want to keep us going, you will need to donate and monthly. Hopefully, we can find a resolution to keep SW going but in the meantime, I offer you these words:
This is our time. We changed the game. We gave everyone what they wanted and listened. This is the end of the road for us. We appreciate every single, last user who visited our site and used it. Without you, the fans, we’d be nothing. I cannot thank you enough. With these tears flowing from my eyes, I want to thank every last one of you for using our site. Every time you visited Simpleweather.com, you kept us motivated.
Sincerely, with every last bit of emotion still left,
Founder and CEO, Vincent W. Veneziani.
Please keep in mind, this site was funded by our wallets. At one point, Joe put up $5000 of his own money to keep us going from February until now. Please keep us in mind and don’t unlink us. We will find a way through this.
Welcome to the SimpleWeather blog! Check here for site updates, and posts about other weather related stories around the web.

I am sad to read about the financial issue and will be willing to donate once the link for PayPal is in place. This was a fantastic concept and site, and believe it worth a monthly\yearly fee.
In addition a non-ad service would also be of interest.
Thank you for providing this site.

I love you guys. I really hope there’s a way to keep this site going. I would totally kick a few bucks your way, once the paypal is set up.

This website was clear, concise, and to the point. My work takes me outside almost every day, and it was nice to just click, check out the weather, and be done. No wading through bullshi* to get the info I needed.
Please come back. If purveyors of online calendars can charge a small monthly fee, then surely you guys can!

Well, I am thoroughly bummed. SimpleWeather.com was one of the most efficient and concise websites out there–it served its purpose without all of the unnecessary whistles and bells (that so many other websites with the same purpose use).
I do hope to see SimpleWeather.com bounce back, and soon! You guys are incredible. I’ll hope for the best.

The unfortunate thing is I just discovered you guys near the end of August! It was great for my Pocket PC and I do hope to see a rebirth.

I’ve been hooked on SimpleWeather ever since I found it about a year ago. After I heard the announcement that it was being shut down I tried going back to Weather.com. I can’t stand it!
Isn’t there any freely available airport weather data feeds you can tap into to at least give some limited weather support? I’m seriously desperate. I don’t think I can handle another day of using Weather.com or any of their equally lousy competitors.

Thank you for hosting the best weather site I’ve ever used. If I were not a senior on fixed income, I would love to help you out financially… I do want to express my thanks and appreciation to all of you. I would be wonderful if you did find a way to continue.

We at Borders in San Francisco have been enjoying SimpleWeather. I hope to get it back soon - it’s nice to enjoy a little ‘time out’ from working the counter to check up on what’s going on outside.

Since this post I’ve noticed the domain and site are up for sale. I hope this doesn’t mean you’ve given up.
I didn’t have that many chances to use your site, but I did enjoy the opportunities I had.

This to me was the coolest website on weather. Simple, well designed and very functional.
I would be happy to contribute too on paypal if that helps.
Please keep the service and hats off to you guys for your passion.
We appreciate it.

I’m shocked and saddend of the news. I, too, was a frequent fan of visiting Simple Weather for your simple and straight forward forecast. This means I’ll have to find an irreplaceable site to take your place. Please know that you will be missed!!! I wish you luck in whatever course you find.
