Joe and I were talking today, wondering how the abbreviation of WX came about. In case you didn’t know, WX is short-code for weather that was originally used in the days of Morse code. It’s still used today as an abbreviation and NOAA labels its weather radio stations with a WX prefix.
Next time you visit Philadelphia, order a cheesesteak wif’ WX for a delicious sandwich and a weather forecast.
