Good things are happening on the Google front with simpleweather. I was checking our analytics stats and took a peek into the keywords that drive people to this page from search results. For the first time ever people are now getting to simpleweather when searching for “weather”. This may not seem that exciting to most people but it is a pretty big deal in the grand scheme of running a weather website.

Addiontionally, our pagerank is now at a 4 (out of 10 sadly), but that’s up from a 3 so we’re not complaining. We could use your help in pushing us into the elite realm of weather sites! If you have your own website, blog, facebook, or myspace spend a minute and write a quick blurb about what you like or dislike about Simpleweather. We’d be forever grateful and we’ll be sure to give a toast to your name (or domain name) next time our glasses are raised!

Does google cache this page every day so we can go back in time to see what the weather was like?
I always refer simpleweather.com to every individual who wants to get their local or other city weather at the speed of light

It may have a copy a day or two old. There’s currently no way to go back selectively and see the weather. We’ve had a few people ask about adding weather history. It’s on our list of things to do, it may be a while as it is a pretty daunting task.

Update, a 5 (which you now have) out of 10 pagerank is very good actually. If you note, you are actually at a 5 now. Whoo hooo! Congratulations!
The pagerank scale is a tight one. Very few sites in the world have a 9, for instance (like ebay and amazon do), so do not be dismayed. Check some sites out there for pagerank and see how they do in the 5 category, which you are now in - you might be surprised!
FYI - “Google PageRank is a general representation of a website’s popularity; it is primarily based on link popularity. Websites with a high PageRank value will tend to have more traffic and higher positions in search engines (although many other factors are also taken into consideration).” - SEO Tools, Page Rank
